Grasstrack Banter Promotions are disappointed to confirm we will not be hosting the 2023 British Youth and Under 21 Championships as originally planned.
It has come to light that the date planned for the fixture of Sunday 23rd July 2023 unfortunately clashes with an FIM Youth track racing competition being held in Gdansk Poland which would of impacted some British competitors wanting to compete in both events.
We have tried all avenues to resolve the date clash, however we do not have the option to change the date and as a result the ACU Track Racing Committee felt it would be more appropriate for an alternative club to host the event this year who have the flexibility to run on a different date avoiding a clash with the fixture in Poland.
We would like to thank the Youth riders and their parents for the words of encouragement and support when it became known that we had been given the nod to host this event. Unfortunately this is an issue outside of the clubs control with the decision being made in the best interest of all competitors and the sport.
We will still be pressing on with an event on Sunday 23rd July and the format and classes will be announced in due course.
